Jen Allen

Jen’s work is lively, expressive and appealing and has won her a worldwide following. Its power and immediacy is enhanced by her distinctive use of colour and contrast, which brings a dynamic bold quality to each composition.

Jen graduated from the Bournemouth Institute of Art and has been working as a full-time artist since 2000. Her distinctive images are influenced by her background which includes working as an illustrator, designer, set painter, prop maker, muralist and even a circus performer! She says she is inspired and motivated to paint by a simple need to do so. She has eclectic tastes and interests which are reflected in the diversity of subject matter within her artwork.

Jen’s unique portraits, wildlife and abstract art are now in demand all over the world. Her highly collectable imagery has sold for large sums and her work is often auctioned after being created before a live audience raising money for charity. Her versatile talents have won her an extraordinary range of clients including the BBC, ITV, Marks & Spencer, Barclays, Virgin and the government of the UAE. Jen has also painted portraits from life ranging from four Royal portraits to the cast of ‘Coronation Street’ as part of the show’s 50th birthday celebrations. Jen counts rock icons, TV stars and royalty among her many collectors.
